Looking for some unique nursery room ideas? We decorated our first baby's room with our love for music festivals in mind. Hope this inspires you!
We approached the music festival nursery room ideas by doing a combination of camping and music decor. Accordingly, the colors for the room are brown, beige and gray along with pops of bright grassy green and light sky blue.
In the photo below, you can see the tree decal on the wall (from Etsy) along with the framed lyrics and the guitar mobile (from Amazon).
In the photo below is a close up of the guitar mobile that says "ROCK STAR" on the canopy part. It's adorable, matches our theme and plays music.
In the below photo, you can see more of the crib sheet that has a camping theme (from Amazon).
The photo below is a close up of the framed lyrics on the wall. They are from Scar Tissue, a song by one of our favorite bands, The Red Hot Chili Peppers. I designed this poster on Zazzle, had them custom print it and then purchased the 16" x 20" frame from Michael's.
In the below photo is the rocking chair (from Amazon) and dresser (from IKEA). The round mirrors on the wall that remind me of bubbles, a frequent thing you see at music festivals, are from Target.
In the below photo is a close up of the rocking chair (which is sooo comfortable and super affordable by the way!), the campsite night light on the floor (from Land Of Nod) and the green sunglasses pillow (from Target).
The photo below shows a closer look at the dresser. You can see the cute green storage bins holding baby products (from The Dollar Store), the light blue changing pad cover that matches the curtains (from Amazon) and the music hooks on the wall.
The photo below shows the cute music hooks we were given at the baby shower. I hung these behind the door using Command hooks (so I didn't have to put holes in the wall) to hold things like hats, towels, hoodies and anything else that we want easy access to.
In the photo below, you can see the folding bookshelf one of my clients gifted us. It's from The Container Store and perfect for this little space.
We've got two canvas bins from Home Goods to corral little things. The owl bin has stuffed animals and small toys in it, and the elephant bin is holding baby books.
On the top shelf is the starry night light (which projects stars onto the wall when when turned on) from Target, the adorable little VW bus (from our local grocery store but here's a similar one on Amazon) and the Run Wild My Child sign from Etsy.
Here are some other fun things we have that are inspired by music, the outdoors and music festival nursery room ideas in general.
3 Sprouts Hedgehog Storage Bin
We were gifted this adorable storage bin, and we are going to use it as a laundry basket for now. It can be used for all sorts of stuff though - toys, books, blankets, you name it!
Koala Baby 4 Pack Flannel Receiving Blankets - Grey Fox
We saw these blankets and thought they were cute, so we registered for and got them. They're soft and are a great size. Check them out!
Sweet Jojo Designs Fitted Crib Sheet for Outdoor Adventure
This is the crib sheet you see in the photos above. If you like this pattern, you can get matching accessories like a changing pad cover and a laundry hamper!
Matimati Baby Absorbent Drool Bandana Bibs (Arrows & Triangles)
These super absorbent bibs are cute and comfortable. They have adjustable snaps and are really soft.
Crushed Voile Sheer Curtains - Antique Bronze Grommet Top - Sky Blue
I wanted some pops of light sky blue, so I found these awesome sheer curtains. They really soften the room and play off the matching light blues from the changing pad cover and the framed lyrics on the wall.
Silly Souls Born To Be Wild Beanie
This adorable hat reminded me of the wild and free feeling you get at music festivals, so I registered for and got it. I love it! I think baby will be coming home from the hospital in it.
